<div align="center">Game 5</div> <div align="center"> ![]() ![]() <div align="center">Militia TV</div> Willy: Hello and welcome to the live broadcast of the SMJHL Eastern Conference semi final game 5 between your Montreal Militia and St. Louis Scarecrows! Your announcers for today are Billy... Billy: ...and Willy! Today we are going to watch a truly exciting game, I believe. The series are now tied 2-2 and both are looking to get this crucial 3rd win to have the chance to end this series in the next game. What are your notes for this game, Willy? Willy: We are probably going to experience another high-scoring game. 3 of 4 previous games between these two had 5 or more goals. Also, look out for special teams play. Montreal is currently league's best team on powerplay, converting 28.57% of their PP's, while the Scarecrows are second in the league with 23.53% of their powerplays resulting in a goal. This respectively means that both are currently league's worst in penalty killing. I definitely believe both teams have been working hard on this and we should see exciting special teams matchups. Billy: Oh, for sure. What about goalie matchup? Willy: The goalie matchup is definitely one of the most exciting things to watch today. After sitting out the first 2 games, Jeff Kirkstone was starting games 3 and 4, and boy was he on top of his game. 1.29 GAA and 94.2 save percentage speaks for itself. He is league's top goaltender in these playoffs. However, regular season's best goalie Kyle Wahlgren has had a tough time against Militia, having allowed 3.01 goals per game on average and having a 89.7 save percentage. What have you prepared for us though, Billy? Billy: Nothing much, really.. Willy: What? Billy: Just kidding. *winks at Willy* There are certain players that have stood out at different areas of the game. Danny Foster is still the league's most physical player, already having 20 hits, and he is also second in penalty minutes, MTL's center Johnny Watson has been a beast in the faceoff dot, winning 65.91% of his faceoffs. Darryl Landry and Kelly Rivet both have been most productive defenders, having 5 points in this series, Nolan Angello of Montreal has scored 2 powerplay goals. STL's Joe Kurczewski has already scored 3 goals. This just tells you that we have some certain players that have been doing their thing and letting the rest know what they can put to the table. Willy: Awesome stuff. We're going on a quick commercial brake, and after that we'll be back with the starting lineups, referees, 3 things to do to win the game and, ultimately, the puck drop! Stay tuned! going live in few minutes ![]() ![]() Registered Posting Freak

Willy: And we're back! So, Billy, tell us 3 things Montreal needs to do to win this game. Billy: Number one; Keep having the best powerplay in the league. To win the Crows, they HAVE to bombard Wahlgren. And preferably, do that even more while they are on powerplay. Shooting means scoring for Montreal, so there's that. Number two: DEFENSE. While we hope that he can, it seems more realistic that Kirkstone can't win the games all by himself. The defense needs to be on point and they have to try to block every shot. Number three: Be prepared mentally. These guys are still young, they have to overcome the stress and give 100% every time they are on the ice, and be confident about themselves in every situation. What about the Crows, Willy? Willy: umm, they don't have to win.. Billy: True, but what do we have to look out for? Willy: Alright then. We should be concerned if Wahlgren finally finds his true game and stops everything we shoot at him. They also have some dirty, physical players and guys who can and will score. Hopefully Montreal does everything what you told that they need to do to win. referee and starting lineup introduction in a bit. ![]() ![]() Registered Senior Member
Willy: So, the players are almost ready in the locker room. Billy, who are the referees today?
Billy: The linesman for this one is Tim Tebow (post baseball). This man is freaking everywhere. First, he was a decent quarterback in the NFL. Then he started to suck and was a baseball player. Now he's a ref in the SMJHL! Willy: What a career achievement. What about our main ref? Billy: None other than Peyton Manning! Another former NFL quarterback who is now a SMJHL ref. Hopefully he doesn't call audibles before faceoffs in this one. Willy: He will have to experience every puck he drops getting intercepted by the players tonight though.. I don't think he really had to become a hockey ref. Billy: True, true. It's time! Players are skating on the ice. Time for starting lineups! Who are our Militia starters? Willy: Alright. SOOOO, your Montreal Militia starting five for this one is... At center.. FILIP GRANLUND! Billy: Playing left wing, 2nd overall pick in this year's SHL draft- NOLAN ANGELOOO! Willy: Playing right wing, WESLEY WELLSSS! Billy: Defensive anchors, first, a beast from Russia, shot blocking monster VIATCHESLAV ORLOV, and, heavy hitter, from Finland, ILMARI MÄÄTTÄ! Willy: And in goal, of course, JEFF KIRKSTONE! Billy: For Scarecrows.. at center... Ronnie Westbrook! Willy: Playing left wing.. Willy Mack! Billy: At right wing position.. Joe Kurczewski! Willy: And what about their impressive defensive pair.. Someone who might be a bigger goon than Volkova from Halifax, Danny Foster! And his mate in the first defensive pair, Rhaegar Targaryen! Billy: And in goal, the Finnish Wahl, Kyle Wahlgren! Willy: Time for national anthems, and right after that, the starting faceoff!! ![]() Registered Senior Member
