Hello everyone! We are here in Edmonton for the S28 Quarter finals match between the Calgary Dragons and your Edmonton Blizzard! Calgary has fallen deep in the ditch as they are down 3-1, just coming off of a shutout in game 4 hoping to make the reverse sweep as they are the previous cup champions.

And we’re off, Esa Anrikkanen wins the faceoff against Theo Kane and gets it to Jamie Hill, she passes back to Sachimo Zoidberg, he tries to pass it back but gets intercepted by Chico Salmon but Salmon gets slashed by Zoidberg as he tries to get past!
Faceoff and Berger wins the faceoff, the blizzard cycle the puck around the boards, Ivan Koroviev looking for a cross-crease pass, can’t find one, shoots!
Penalty kill expires for the Dragons, they kill it off well as both teams dump it in for line changes.
Randy Randleman bringing it from the neutral zone, skates in and takes a quick shot which is easily caught and play is stopped.
Faceoff and Calgary wins the draw as they proceed to set up, play is stopped by a penalty on Zerchai for highsticking as the Blizzard get the first PP of the night.
A minute expires into the PP as Koroviev tries to pass it to his D-man but ices the puck. Jagr wins the draw in the Blizzard zone, intercepted by Theo Kane though as it is now a 2 on 1, Kane passes it to Ratzon!
We skip ahead into the period to the 9th minute, Edmonton clearly has the momentum in this game as they’ve spent the last minute in the Dragons zone, Berger has the puck and Edmonton cycles the puck around the boards.
Koroviev slaps the puck on the net, big rebound as scholz shoots at the open net!!
Deflected off his teammate and bounced away, Chico Salmon picks up the puck and shoots!
Missed the net! Calgary recovers and Pederson is racing towards the Blizzard zone, Slaps one just wide, bounces around the boards to Pergher with an open net!
Wide again! Skipping 3 minutes ahead, Calgary on the counterattack with Esa leading the charge, nice deke around the first defender, passes it to Pederson for the one timer!
Skipping ahead 4 minutes, lots of back and forth action and lots of faceoffs
Edmonton is in the Calgary zone hoping to strike back their lead, JRT with the puck, fakes the slapshot and passes it to Goody as he shoots!
Deflected off of Ratzon but still great save by Wong, Ratzon picks up the rebounds and tries to jam it in! He’s pushed away by Zoidberg, as play stops.
Only 3 minutes left in the period as Edmonton leads 2-1, they win the faceoff and set up in the Dragons zone again, Salmon and Ratzon both with good shots but can’t beat Hunter Wong.
Pederson wins the faceoff in the zone and proceeds to race it out of the Dragons zone, pass to Esa who passes it back as he goes into the zone! Dekes out Goody and shoots! Misses but he gets the puck back for the backhand!
SCORES! CALGARY TIES IT WITH 1 MINUTE LEFT IN THE 1ST!
Calgary brings it back to the Edmonton zone, Oferyn Martell gets physical as he hits 3 players, but on the 3rd hit, Ratzon gets the puck past to Chico Salmon who outskates the second defender!
We have a breakaway with Chico Salmon vs Hunter Wong!
Loses the puck, goes five hole!! HE SCORES! CHICO’LL TAKE THAT AS HE GETS THE LEAD RIGHT BACK JUST 40 SECONDS AFTER THE LAST GOAL!
