And we’re off!

To start the game, Steven Moyer beats Jax Aittokallio in the opening face-off. The crowd is roaring, both benches looks ready to get into it, and the referees have their whistled cleaned and polished.

Speaking of referees...

David Vent interferes with San Francisco's Vince Reaper in the Manhattan zone. He claims he was just playing the body, but it's clear the referee judged the puck to be long gone by the time the contact was made.

The Powerplay begins with a bang, as Jack Tanner, Charlie Schieck, and Jeff Brogen all miss the net.

There's movement down low as players switch between providing an outlet for the puck carrier and getting into a dangerous scoring area, and Steven Moyer takes a shot that's blocked by Alex Winters.

That's one way to get into the game early! Steven Moyer has his head down as he reaches for a loose puck behind the net, and Manhattan's Rainbow Dash hits him hard into the boards.

The Rage are able to clear the zone, and the remaining seconds of the power-play tick away.

Just after a key penalty kill, the Rage once again find themselves a man down in the first five minutes of the game.

It's an Interference call in the Manhattan zone as before, and the culprit this time is defender Andrej Doskocil, who ran a pick on Piotr Czerkawski.

The first half of the power play goes by with little incident, as Manhattan does a good job of keeping the Pride away from the slot.

San Francisco's second unit comes out to try and get an early lead, and it looks like they might be onto something, as Dominic Montgomery receives a pass from Ray Bork in the neutral zone and carries it into the Manhattan zone.

He pulls the puck back at the blue line, lets go of a wrister that seems to have a tricky trajectory, and...

...Hits the post!

He looked like he had Peter Larson beat.

The rest of the power play is spent passing the puck in the Manhattan zone, and the Rage look relieved to have killed off another early penalty.

And now, a note from the broadcast's sponsor: WunderThunder Domes, a new tasty treat from Hershey's.

We're back into the action. During the commercial break it seems the Manhattan coaches have made sure to remind their players that the series is still in its early stages, and there's a need for discipline.

San Francisco is looking to make up for lost chances on the power play.
