Updates can be confusing at first but getting them right is important as it makes the updater's job easier and makes it more likely that your update doesn't get skipped.

So what goes in an update? Any tasks that you complete to earn TPE need to be linked to your update thread in order for you to apply that TPE to your player. You'll start by linking each task and, next to it, writing how much TPE was earned from the task. Then you'll add that to your total TPE count, at which point you can either bank the TPE or apply it to your attributes. Here's an example of a good update. Every time you add a task you should edit your previous post and add it to that in order to keep your updates easy to follow. When an updater replies to your update thread with "updated" it means that the changes made in your previous post have been processed, at this point you may make a new post in your update thread and continue to edit that one until you are updated again.

Then update your TPE count
Total Points Earned:

Then add TPE to your player's attributes or bank it for later
Adjusted Attributes: 
+13 Speed (9 -> 11)
+2 Checking (8 -> 9)
+8 Offensive Read (10 -> 11)
+2 Strength (5 -> 7)

When applying TPE to your player's attributes, don't forget to follow the league's update scale, this shows how much TPE it costs up upgrade to a specific attribute.



So based on this for example, it would cost 5 TPE to upgrade an attribute from 10 to 11 and then an additional 8 TPE to upgrade that attribute from 11 to 12. Let's say your puck handling is at 5 and you'd like to upgrade it to 12, it would cost you a total of 24 TPE. (1 for 5->6, 1 for 6->7, 2 for 7->8, 2 for 8->9, 5 for 9->10, 5 for 10->11, 8 for 11->12 so 1+1+2+2+5+5+8=24 TPE).
