Determined to not let the Scarecrows get out of range too far, the Outlaws work hard on the penalty kill to intercept pucks and send the St Louis team back to their own zone. The man advantage situation ends without any really good chances to score.

What follows is the most boring 13 minutes of Four Star Cup Finals play I have ever seen. Both teams have gone back to being nervous. St Louis doesn’t want to blow this lead, Anaheim looks like they’re not sure whether to try to score or keep it closed defensively. A few shots are fired, but none are even remotely dangerous. It’s mostly icings and turnovers for the remaining 13 minutes.

Another center ejected from the face-off at the start of this period. This time it’s Maximus and he gets replaced by Bale. Trey Nets wins the face-off, and the St Louis Scarecrows are looking for a chance to set up their attack again. Ursin Zimmermann has other plans though, and he intercepts a pass by Axel Meszaros. The puck is dumped into the St Louis Scarecrows zone.

Elizabeth Doyle retrieves the puck and passes it to Erben Kasius. Erben Kasius tries a risky pass to Danny Marston, but it’s intercepted on the blue line by Leonid Kofix. Kofix sees C.T. Carragher wide open at the backdoor and feeds him the puck. Big one-timer by C.T. Carragher!

The Outlaws are pushing to get through the St Louis Defense on this power play, but so far this game the penalty killing units on both teams are doing a good job of helping their goalies keep their nets clean.
