Draft Pick Tracker

Quote:Originally posted by Kel@May 28 2015, 07:17 PM

Those are some slim chances as there are 29 picks before that third rounder, so what's stopping a team from drafting him?

Him holding out....for the next draft...

Him banking his TPE until he gets on NEW....

Would be a pretty big waste of money/pick for someone...and I am sure some teams could waste a pick/money. No biggie, it's not like missing a 300TPE goalie, we would be hurting... Tongue We could trade a sock and a future 8th rounder for an inactive 600TPE goalie until Storm finds his way to NEW. Haha. If he was a forward, it might look a little different since forwards make a bigger impact sooner.

Well if you want to take that risk, but he has the option to refuse a contract and go back to the minors.

You can do that? You're silly, the motives of picking him wouldn't be to have him play on their team.

I'm not saying that I would do that, but I'm not saying that some teams wouldn't do that just for the giggles.

Yeah, if teams want to prioritize hurting another team over helping themselves, sure - that's a valid choice. We've always known that was an option, though, so these events don't change that much.

Wink what's good?

Not you. >:D<

Anyways, if someone chooses to pick me so be it, they just better expect me to not sign.

Ha, I actually would prefer people to waste their picks for the next 2 seasons on him, and then get him on the 3rd draft, and he would be almost ready by then TPE wise...

That would actually be the ideal situation.

at pick 28 or 29, theres no reason not to take him.
this draft isn't active enough where you're gonna get a player at that spot.

id take him and if NEW doesn't think he is worth giving up a 2nd for, then oh well, not like i'm missing out on a player anyways.

If I was a GM and he was the best player available at my pick, I'd take him. Worse case I ransom him back to NEW. Best case, I convince him my team is better than NEW. Either way it's not a bad strategy and it will certainly make for an exciting story line to this year's Draft.

Or he could just not sign a deal and go back into the draft for next season

I wouldnt take him if there are other prospects worth taking, but at 28 or 29, why not?

Cause smart gms don't waste picks? I have 33 actives listed, it'd be
smarter to draft someone with a chance of staying
