The Barracuda seem to be low on energy to start this third period. Mike Izzy beats Nickolas Klaus once again at the draw. Austin Roenick recovers the puck after stripping Izzy and fires off a shot, but nothing transpires.

The teams are hardlocked in a defensive fight. The puck moves back and forth between the neutral zones, but no one can get an opportunity. For over ten minutes, the two teams can't find any space to move on the ice. The defensive stalwart himself, stepping in for Driftwood on the line, Vrzala suddenly takes a holding penalty and the Barracuda's dreams seem to reignite as the chance at the power play becomes once again major.

The Dragons win the draw on the hands of Nicky Pedersen following the penalty in their own end. They play keep-away with the Barracuda forwards before the Cudas snag a puck and move it out to the blue line. Kristaps Ball lines up a shot, and tees it away, but it careens off the boards into the corner where it's scooped up by Austin Roenick. Roenick's shot flies into the corner as well. The Cudas reset and get a fresh set of legs on the ice, keeping the puck in the Dragons end.

Kholin moves the puck to DuBolk. DuBolk fakes a shot from the line and slides the puck around the boards to Sawchuk who waits patiently behind the net...

Sawchuk wraps around the post...
