The game went into extra time with Napoli dominating most of the first half, but Bari got a break when a Zenon Kowalsky cross went to midfield, Klose headed the cross to Donini who took off on a breakaway and made it 4-3 Bari. Napoli dominated the rest of the game but was unable to score on Bari. Finally a 120th minute counter attack saw a lucky ball thrown on net by Donini beat De Sanctis to send Bari off to the round of 16 with their 5-3 win.

note: eating supper will continue a bit more after supper but probably not much

The draw for the round of 16 of the Coppa Nazionale took place today, here are the scheduled matchups:

1. Inter vs Atalanta

Bari were at home today taking on bottom feeding La Spezia and it was really all Bari from the get go, the league leaders took and early lead with the help of Brandon Donini's goal, Di Gennaro tied it at 1 soon after but Donini scored 2 more before the final wistle to seal Bari's 3-1 victory. Cristoph Klose went to the sideline with an injury at the 83rd minute but was not subbed off. It turns out that was the wrong choice as the team doctor is now saying Klose will miss 6 to 8 weeks with a torn quadricep. Bari will also be without Zenon Kowalsky in their next game, the polish stud will be suspended after obtaining too many yellow cards in recent fixtures.
