Bari came up victorious in today's league clash between Bari and Modena. Bari started the attack early as Damian Littleton put a 4th minute cross right into the box. Cristoph Klose missed a diving header to put the ball on goal and as a Modena defender headed it away before Brandon Donini had a chance to get it back. Javier Cortez was subbed on for Raheem Sterling at the half and he made an almost immediate impact as he turned a Silvio Ravioli through ball into a 2 on 0 for Bari. Cortez choked at the net though and Modena's keeper swallowed up his attempted pass to Fernando Garcia easily. Bari broke the scilence in the 67th minute when their possesion domination finally payed off. Donini was unable to find an opening as he entered the box so he passed the ball behind him to Klose, Klose faked a run to the right and with a quick pivot took a powerful shot from right outside the box beating Modena's keeper top corner. Cortez blew an opportunity to take a 2-0 lead in the 86th minute when he went down on a breakaway with a pulled muscle. Bari won 1-0.

Brazilian mid Bernard's injury from two games back is indeed a playable injury and he did see action against Modena. Javier Cortez's pulled muscle against Modena was not aggravated and the injury was nothing more than a wasted breakaway and finally Zack Gagnon has been cleared for first team selection, the Canadian CDM is not yet 100% match fit but is free to play if Ferrante wishes to risk him.

Bari was in Ascoli today for their 6th fixture of the season. They played out another tight game as Ascoli was denied early on twice by Eugenio Lamanna and another three times by Zenon Kowalsky. Fernando Garcia scored a chip shot in the 24th minute to put Bari ahead and Diego Polenta was sent off 9 minutes later but Bari managed to retain the lead for the rest of the game. despite being down a man.

Ze Eduardo was thrown out of the game at the 77th minute sealing Bari's 1-0 lead as they went up a man for the final 23 minutes.

Bari took to the road today for their first match for the month of October and came up rather dissapointed. The Italian club drew 1-1 with Brescia in what should have been a rather easy game to win. Sodinha opened the scoring for Brescia in the first minute when a Martina Rini free kick hit the wall. Sodinha quickly grabbed the loose ball and shot it into the top corner beating Lamana to give Brescia the lead. The score remained 1-0 until Bari's Bernard took advantage of lousy defending and converted on his breakaway with a wonderful chip shot right over keeper Alessio Cragno to tie it up before the half. Bari dominated the second half but was unable to break Brescia's rock solid defense leaving the game to end in a 1-1 draw.

Unfortunately for Verona, they were no match for Bari who stepped all over their Serie B counterparts tonight. Bari did a good job deflating Verona early on as Player of the Month Fernando Garcia's shot from the edge of the box sailed right into the net. Klose scored a second goal right before the half sending Bari to the dressing rooms up 3-0. Verona finally solved Lamanna in the 64th minute when Raphael Martinho curved the ball right into the net on a free kick. Bari managed to hold on coming out with a 3-1 victory over their bitter rivals.

It is believed that Borghese has officialy told Micheal Ferrante that his options are to play him or sell him, more to come as this story progresses.
