After some surprisingly uninspiring play by both teams, we find ourselves with 10 minutes to go in the 1st period.
Now Rikard Hammarberg has the puck for the Outlaws, he takes it over the blue line fighting for position with Luc-Pierre Lespineau-Lebrunette. LPLL rubs him off the puck and moves it up to Sasha Dangelcheck. Dangelcheck moves it through the zone quickly and begins to slow up. He rips a wrister, using Thurber as a screen! Glove save by Chamberlain! That one was laced for the top corner but the talented goaltender makes the save! ![]() Registered Used to be cool
Both teams seem more fired up after some rougher hockey.
Yamamoto Mitsuharu wins the puck forward into the corner for the Scarecrows in the Anaheim zone. He makes a blind pass in front which finds Sasha Dangelchek for a one timer! Another save by Strom Chamberlain! ![]() Registered Used to be cool
Both teams 1st lines come onto the ice. Kevin Robinson wins the puck for Anaheim and Leonid Kofix takes the puck up the right wing.
He moves it Robinson coming up the middle and into the neutral zone. Robinson moves the puck back to Kofix, it's a 3 on 3 rush as Kofix takes the puck over the blue line. Kofix stops just over the blue line. He makes a hard cross ice pass to C.T. Carragher who finds some space high in the slot. Carragher shoots! Elizabeth Doyle squeezes the puck in and holds for a whistle! ![]() Registered Used to be cool
Puck drops in the St. Louis zone and its a battle for the puck at the dot. C.T. Carrragher picks up the puck towards the top of the face off dot - but Luc-Pierre Lespineau-Lebrunette absolutely levels him! The whistles blows and LPLL will go to the box, 2 minutes for charging at 14:48 in 1st.
Anaheim goes on the power play. ![]() Registered Used to be cool

The 2nd period begins after some exciting, but relatively conservative play in the 1st period.
The Outlaws 1st line is on the ice and they continue to play well. They are cycling the puck and look to be tiring out the Scarecrows 3rd line and D pairing. C.T. Carragher takes the puck out of the corner and is driving hard to the net! Eric Hudson lays him out, coming down from out of nowhere and clearly catching Carragher with his head down! ![]() Registered Classless, Assless, Deaf, and Dumb ![]() Registered Used to be cool
After 10 minutes into the 2nd period, both teams continue to play a conservative brand of hockey.
It's tied up at 1 and both teams haven't looked particularly dangerous offensively. They've each had a chance on the power play and were unable to generate any significant opportunities. Code: Andreas Stacks (ANA) for Interference (Minor) at 2:57, Luc-Pierre Lespineau-Lebrunette (STL) for Tripping (Minor) at 6:45 |
