Mitchell van der Heijden is able to win the faceoff against lil manius as Cal Labovitch fires the first shot of the game but Cain is there to make the glove save and holds the puck. Playing for New Orleans, Cain knows how to make some high pressure saves in the playoffs, today is one of those days for him, hopefully he can live up to the SHL name

USA changes the pace of the game though, getting back to the Swiss end and starts to put some shots on their goalie, as players like Terrance Nova, Cameron Carter, Borromini Cannellini, and Joe Kurczewski.

Were able to get shots on the net, but Tibuk Soonika was able to save all of them up. The clock is at 6:37 in the 1st with a faceoff in the Swiss zone.

Tibuk has looked good early. As apart of a playoff bubble team he will have to play his peak skill if he has to go save for save with Cain

Chuck Crutchfield is able to get the puck up the boards a bit before Nicolaj Muller comes through and checks Chuck onto the boards, and the puck moves along

but Finn-Rhys steps up and hits him as well,

Slap McShotty wins the faceoff in that zone before getting hit by Teddy Cuddles on his final season in the SHL. Im not sure if you know but Teddy Cuddles announced his retirement at the beginning of the season, and one can imagine this is his last chance at a medal before moving back to his home in Edmonton or wherever he is living after his retirement.

But Ty Hoover fishes the puck and moves up ice and delivers a perimeter shot that Cain easily saves and holds onto it and the refs take the puck and get ready for the faceoff to the right of Cain.

Max Mauldin wins the faceoff in his own zone, but Swiss was able to forecheck effectively as the puck gets into their possession before they started firing on all cylinders
