Another save by Brownlee, and this time he holds on! He adjusts himself beautifully to lock down the deflected puck off Bischoff's stick without a rebound, and that's the last action of this killed-off Swiss powerplay!

Late in the first period now, and the U.S. are looking very off the pace of things, having managed 3 shots as we hit the last minute of play. Blackwood has iced the puck, and the winded Americans have to endure a last onslaught from the Swiss. Bobby has won the face-off here loose to Bischoff, who rips one on net...

Brownlee has blockered it aside, but its bobbled to Bobby out in front of the net with a golden chance...

He's scuffed it! The puck wasn't bouncing right for the lone goal-scorer of this match, and the puck harmlessly floats wide after he fails to catch it properly.

That's gonna do it for this first period of play in this Bronze Medal match, as a dominant first period for Team Alpine sees them 1-0 up, with the shots being 9-3 in favor of the leaders. Second period will start after a short intermission!

And we are back for the second period! Veccelli wins the opening draw against Gold and Switzerland gain possession, Barbashev II takes it up the ice, and gaining the zone he is tripped by Coitus-Wagg, so Switzerland will get an early powerplay in this second frame.

Zimmerman has picked it up on the edge of the offensive area here for Switzerland and slides it across to Daniel Kuster. Kuster moves it down low to Archer, who then finds the return pass to Kuster in a promising position for a wrister...

Great glove save by Brownlee! Kuster got great connection for the wrister, but the Scarecrows netminder read the play well to snag the puck and hold on to freeze it. We remain 1-0.

Half the period gone after not too much action again, and it's Ursin Zimmermann with the puck behind the Swiss net, he looks to move it out, but he's made a bad turnover to Barrett Blackwood! Blackwood has laid it off to Connolly, who has a shot tipped just wide of the net by Robinson! Amidst the chaos, Blackwood emerges with a great chance out in front...

HE'S TIED IT UP FOR THE AMERICANS!

After a turnover from Zimmermann, a great combination play from this top American unit is capped off with the Edmonton Blizzard prospect sniping one home to draw things level!

Looking to bounce back after that equalizer, Switzerland come back on the offensive through Bobby. After a powerful drive, Bobby backhands one off the outside of the post. Archer has a shot that's whistled wide too, but Bobby has picked it up behind the net and throws it to the front of the net, where Kuster is found sneaking in front the point...

AND JUST LIKE THAT THE ALPINE LEAD AGAIN THROUGH KUSTER!

Ricky Bobby takes matters into his own hands on this play and his hard work on this shift is rewarded by a goal from Kuster, who beats Brownlee this time after having been robbed by him earlier.
