16 Minutes into the Second Period
Novotny wins the face-off back to Gutierrez. Breakout pass to Horvat who moves into the attacking zone. Claude picks off the pass and fires one to Boone at centre ice. There’s some confusion as the ref’s whistle blows. It looks like there’s two penalties being called. Behind the play, and unrelated to each other, Bobby Lane is being sent off for roughing and Novotny is getting nailed for tripping. Looks like we’re going to have two minutes of 4 on 4!

After a Simon LeBlanc icing, Tom Fiddler faces off against Josef Novotny in the Kelowna zone. Fiddler wins it back to Ravyn Tedisko. Tedisko shoots, but it goes wide. Tedisko follows the shot in and retrieves it in the corner, walks out, and shoots again!

Big Hit! Shepard is layed out by Zeno Miniti, and the few Kelowna fans in attendance are outraged by the lack of a penalty called on the late hit.

Big Fudge passes to Alex Ranch, who pases to Andrey Barbashev II. Barbashev hits a breaking Shepard with a pass, who steps into Montreal’s zone. Ryan Daly intercepts a pass meant for Barbashev, and Daly slides the puck over to Michael Fitted. Fitted gains the Knights zone and passes over to Capp Hatter. It’s intercepted by Big Fudge! Hatter attempts to strip Fudge of the puck, and his stick rides up, catching Fudge in the jaw. The ref won’t let that one slide too, and Hatter is going away for 2 minutes for High Sticking.
