Tom Fiddler wins the ensuing face-off, and the Militia look like they're in a hurry to end this before their goalie is tested like that again.
The play makes its way to Alexei Rykov in the neutral zone, who's SMASHED by a rushing Piotr Horvat. Fiddler comes back to retrieve the puck, and gains the zone before flipping it over to Ravyn Tedisko. She commences a passing play with Rykov, Pokrywka, and Sarantez that leaves the Knights scrambling in their own zone. The play finds its way back to Rykov, who lets loose a quick release on goal that doesn't quite find the target. The puck curves around the boards, and it's Rykov again that gathers the puck and snaps it on goal!

The puck found its way past Alexander Thorstrom, and the crowd was stunned as Montreal's bench flew onto the ice to congratulate Rykov. The Militia have taken Game 1!

It was an even game overall, with the Knights ending the game with a slight edge in shots (26-24). The three stars: 1 - Ricky Bobby (MTL) 2 - Ravyn Tedisko (MTL) 3 - Josef Novotny (KEL) All three deserved, in my opinion. No matter how this series ends, I can't imagine any of the games will wind up being one-sided. Excited to see where things go from here! ---- Thanks for bearing with me, everyone.
