Just two minutes later, the Militia look like they're about to increase their lead to two, as a shot by Gaspard Boone is blocked by Tah Puhcheese and Herry Morris IV darts to the rebound. He lifts the puck toward the top corner, but...
Alexander Thorstrom proves his equal this time. Moments after the whistle blows, you see the Knights goalie shouting at his bench to get their heads back in the game. This is no time for napping!
The pep talk from their goalie must have done something to get the Knights into gear. When the play resumes, you see a team that's doubling their effort, and the Militia are on their heels. Zbigniew Pokrywka gets called for hooking, and just thirty seconds before he's set to come back onto the ice...
Goal: Josef Novotny

...Josef Novotny hits one home! The Knights forward keenly taps home a bullet pass from teammate Raquel Castillo Gutierrez, and the Militia coaching staff are themselves left shouting at their bench to wake up. What an answer from Kelowna!

The Militia are stunned. Only sixteen minutes after Phineas Gold took a minor penalty for slashing, the Kelowna Knights have buried a tic-tac-toe goal past Mike Hunt. The passing play left the goalkeeper no chance, and Montreal's coach is forced to call a timeout to gather the troops and read them the riot act.
Can Montreal answer back and tie it up with less than ten minutes to play?
If you thought there was bad blood in the first period, you ain't seen nothing yet!
Their coach called them out, and they answered.
The Militia came back out on a mission after giving up their second of the period, and it got to a point where the Knights had had enough.
As if sensing he could do something to slow their momentum, Kelowna's Vadim Malichov starts chirping Montreal's Heikki Jaakkola before the puck is dropped. The linesmen sneak in to warn the players not to do anything stupid, and it looks like cooler heads will prevail. The puck is dropped, and...
SO ARE THE GLOVES!
The two forwards go at it fist over fist! Both players are left bloodied but not broken, and both sets of supporters give them a standing ovation after a spirited but even tilt.
No matter how this one ends, what a game it's been!
Both teams looked boosted by the display of dedication from the fighters.
But Montreal took control of the game as soon as the puck was dropped. Immense pressure like that can only lead to one thing...
Goal: Ravyn Tedisko Assists: Olin O'Dowd, Kaspars Claude (12:43 of the third)
They did it! They tied it up!
Olin O'Dowd and Kaspars Claude did great work keeping the puck away from Kelowna's dogged defenders, and Ravyn Tedisko was the beneficiary, as she snapped a shot past the clumped up bodies in front of Alexander Thorstrom. The puck seemed to have eyes, and despite hitting the post, it collided with the back of Thorstrom's pad and into the net. I don't think I've seen a goal celebration that enthusiastic before! The Militia bench has gone wild!
