Overtime

Early in overtime, Xander Green wins a faceoff from Randleman, but the puck ends up with the Dragons. Mike Izzy takes a hit from Dominique, but Driftwood is there to carry on with the puck. Fletcher tries to cut him off at the line, and does, but the puck carries on to Hunter Jones, who gets a wrist shot on goal...

The Wolfpack are playing like they are trying to conserve energy here, and the Dragons are forcing them to dump the puck a lot. Xander Green ices the puck, but makes up for this by winning the faceoff in the NEW zone. Green moves up the ice and gets a shot off on Hocolate, but Augustus is there to block. Oisin Fletcher picks up the loose puck and fires it on goal...

7 Minutes in and Otis Driftwood takes a penalty for interference. The Dragons have been excellent killing penalties so far, but Kosonen did strike on the PP earlier. Kurczewski wins the faceoff, and forces the puck out of the zone. The Wolfpack pick up the loose puck in the neutral zone, but Green comes in offside. Mike Izzy comes in to beat Green on the faceoff this time, but the Wolfpack are hungry for the puck, and Fletcher gets into the zone, leaving a drop pass for Dominique. Fletcher turns back to look at Dominique as he shoots, and Fletcher deflects the shot

End to end action from both teams here. A few minutes later, following a Maksimov icing call, Isaac Kaiser wins a draw in the dragons end, but turns the puck over to Mike Izzy for a breakaway. Laukkanen is up to the task on that one, as his positioning forces Izzy to take a shot wide of the net. Randy Randleman recovers the puck, but Mia Lanvik absolutely crushes him with a hit! Scramble for the puck in the corner, but the Dragons manage to dig it out. Joe Kurczewski is circling to the point when he gets laid out by a hit from Cara Hohenberg, which springs Makinen and Berezin up the ice on a 2-on-1 against Maksimov. Makinen slides a pass across, and Berezin takes a shot on a sprawling Hocolate...

HOCOLATE WITH THE SAVE! He gives up a rebound though, and Makinen looks to have a clear path to the net, but gets rocked by a hit from Adam Kaiser. Berezin recovers the puck for a shot, but misses; then Makinen shoots, and also misses. Czerkawski is in digging for the puck now as well, and the Dragons are getting frustrated here. Finally Otis Driftwood pulls the puck out and sends it down the ice to stop the pressure.

Late in the period Joe Kurczewski wins an offensive zone faceoff, and the Dragons are in control. The Wolfpack fall back a bit, and Calgary sets up shop in the NEW zone. No shots on goal right away, but NEW is clearly scrambling, and the Dragons are looking for a good opening. The clock is winding down now, less than a minute to play! Hohenberg is pushing and shoving with Kurczewski by the blueline now, maybe something brewing there. Looks like the clock will... wait... Hunter Jones is wide open, takes a pass from Randleman, and fires it on goal...
