McDonald wins the face-off, and yet again, the Impact start hot. They pass it from the dman down to the winger in the corner who goes behind the net. The winger passes it out front to find one of the other forwards who are crowding the net in front. Maybe one of them can finish it?

Unfortunately, a defenseman pinched as well and the Mammoths have a a one on one going the other way with Oduya.

Oduya enters the zone and stalls as the defenseman is unable to control his gap very well.

Oduya cuts to the middle but loses the puck above the top of the right circle.

But that was intentional! Conway steps into the puck and rips a slapshot.

The Impact bench looks slightly demoralized following that goal given that almost all of the play had been in the oppositions goal. The coaches have been shouting encouragement to the team, and it seems as though it had resonated with the team.

They win the opening face-off and immediately are looking for shots.

Rowe slides in to the hashmarks and lets it off quickly.

But Jacob Andrews swallows it up. Too easy!

Watson wins the face-off but after a crucial hit, the Mammoths turn it the other way. Shmyr takes a shot... but it's only a breakout pass to the Impact who bulldoze their way into the Mammoths zone. The Mammoths, scrambling from the action going on thus far, ice the puck yet again.
