THE CHALLENGE CUP WILL BE LIFTED TONIGHT!!!!!!!!

This is what it’s all about. Challenge Cup Finals Game 7! Winner hoists the cup, loser goes home! It doesn’t get more intense than this! Everything is on the line tonight. Countless hours spent by both teams working hard to reach this point and neither will give an inch to the other. They both want this championship and will fight, almost to the death to win it. Everything will be left out there on the ice tonight and a Challenge Cup Champion will be crowned! Will it be Manhattan or Los Angeles?

Before we get to the Starting Line Ups, let’s take a look at how we got here…

Game 1: 3-2 OT Rage

Jamie Hawkins 2 Goals, including the OT game winner!

Game 2: 4-2 Panthers

LA 4 goals in the 3rd period!

Game 3: 3-1 Rage

Rage come back to win after being down 1-0 early in the game!

Game 4: 3-2 (3OT) Rage

Rage were up by 2 goals, LA tied it, Ludvigsen with the 3OT game winner!

Game 5: 4-2 Panthers

LA jumps out to an early 2-0 lead, hold on for the win!

Game 6: 3-1 Panthers

Tie game at one point until Langabeer and Skarsgaard step up for LA!

Game 7....?

What a great series so far. Manhattan jumped out to a 3-1 lead with that triple overtime win in game 4, but LA fought back to tie the series and force a game 7.

Now Let’s Take a Look at our Starting Line Ups!!

Manhattan Rage:

Daniel Merica – Tommy Creller – Colt Constantine

Logan Valentine – Roy Razin

C.J James

Los Angeles:

Jhonas Skarsgaard - Nicholas Pedersen - Brian Morley

Thomas Pylon - Fredrik Wastlund

Jackson Weekes

Line Notes: Both 5 man units have been playing well this series and are capable of taking over a game. It will be fun to watch them go head to head again tonight. Both goalies playing great also, this is going to be quite a match up.

Players to Watch!

Manhattan: Daniel Merica

With 10 goals in the playoffs and 5 in the finals so far, Daniel Merica has once again stepped up his game in the post season. After having a history of being clutch back in his run with Seattle a few seasons ago, Merica has once again proven he’s the guy you want with the puck on his stick when the game and the season is on the line. Merica has ice in his veigns and will obviously be on his game tonight in game 7. The Panthers will have to pay a lot of attention to him or he could hurt them.

Los Angeles: Brian Morley

[Image: Brent+Burns+Vancouver+Canucks+v+San+Jose...DpsBIl.jpg]

Morley continues to be featured for LA because it’s hard to miss him. He’s been dynamite all playoffs for LA and while his exact stats remain a mystery, we can only assume he’s leading the team. He’s a beast and has been playing like one. Scaring children and scoring goals, Morley will no doubt bring his A game tonight in game 7. There’s no question he can step up and put this team on his back, which is big enough because he is a sasquatch. If Manhattan wants to win tonight, they better try and keep Sasquatch off the board.

X-Factors:

Manhattan: Tommy Creller

Young superstar Tommy Creller has become a star in these playoffs for Manhattan. The former 1st overall pick led the team in points through the 1st 2 rounds and probably continues to lead the team in points. He centers the top line between Merica and Constantine and the trio has been excellent all playoffs. Tommy Creller has a great chance to make an impact on the biggest stage tonight. LA would be wise to not overlook him.

Los Angeles: Yuri Boyka

Another young player who has had an awesome playoffs is Yuri Boyka. After being a junior scoring champ Boyka has been great for LA and has scored some clutch goals during these playoffs. He’s fast and has a wicked shot. Playing with a playmaking center in Adrian Thomaz, Boyka will have every chance to light the lamp again tonight. He’s one of those guys who you just look to when the game is on the line and tonight with the season and championship being on the line Boyka could have a huge impact. Manhattan should pay a lot of attention to him.
