S50 Four Star Cup Finals Game 3: COL @ CAR
#61

The third period begins with a Gold faceoff win, followed by 2 minutes of offensive possession for the Kraken. 4 shots are gotten off before the 3 minute mark, The Raptors really need to dig to get out of this scenario and with 17 minutes left, they’ll need more than what they’ve given.

Ricky Bobby and Derek Bohne fight for position in front of the net. Bohne gets caught holding his opponents stick and the linesman signals for a delayed penalty! A soft shot on net is frozen by Spector who has been left out to dry all game.

Another 2 minute minor

Whatever changes were made in the intermission seem to have worked! The Dinos have killed off 90 seconds of the power play, allowing only two shots on net, both gloved easily. After a stoppage, the first powerplay unit comes back on with only a handful of seconds left, what have they drawn up? The homecrowd Kraken fans are excited to see, and they haven't grown complacent with only 3 power play goals

It shouldn’t matter because Valentine-Okoli easily wins the faceoff. But just as predictably, the Raptors fail to clear the zone. Rykov intercepts the clearing effort, who moves it to Ricky Bobby, who centers to Herry Morris IV who winds up for the shot...!

He winds up for a really long time, to the point where everyone on the defense dives to block the shot, but they slide too far because it was a 3 minute wind up.

He fans on the shot!

The defense over commits as he gathers the puck and gets a second scoring chance…

It whistles in over the shoulder of Spector.

It’s a clean goal. The arena erupts. The Kraken hold a 4-0 lead, built on the sloppy play and questionable officiating that is unlikely to be changed in the last 15 minutes.
