Ireland has taken the next step. Medal round last year, past the 1st round, it's all about progression. Of course we want to win today, and keep advancing. But, the biggest take away is that the effort our current players are putting in, and given the recruiting effort of our team, we're on the path that we want to be on.

Win or lose against Germany, I'll consider this IIHF season a success. If we're able to secure a medal, it'll be a massive success. Regardless, the future looks bright, and that's exciting. I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in that sentiment.

I couldn't agree with you more man. I'm incredibly proud of what this team has accomplished in 2 seasons and how amazingly bright the future still is. We may get beat down by Germany today or we may just pull another upset and move on to the finals. We do have the luck of the Irish at least.

Regardless though, this team has been one of the most fun LRs to be apart of. I love the compassion you guys have on the site and seeing those little Ireland flags everywhere. You guys make being a head here an absolute blast and I love every one of you.
