It bounces behind the net and Brovalchuk is there to corral it. Brovalchuk cycles it around back to the point. Arrowny is there to pick it up, he fakes a shot and dishes it to Stransky! Stransky likes the shooting lane he's given and fires it!!! BROVALCHUK SCREENING THE GOALIE!!!!

You have got to be kidding me! Redirected from the top corner down to the ice and somehow Schmidt reacted fast enough to stop the shot!

Schmidt covers up the puck and we have a faceoff.

Heimer-Schmidt is back on the ice to take the draw against Brovalchuk. Schmidt wins the draw but is pushed off the puck by Hawkins. Hawkins picks up the puck but is hit by Szlerchek. The puck skitters back to Razin who fires a shot! WIDE of the net. Merica picks up the puck behind the net and tries a wrap around!!!! Schmidt closes the door but didn't lock it as the rebound bounces out. Wong picks it up! He skates out to the top of the point and wrists it on net!!! Merica redirects it!!!!

WIDE OF THE NET! Stransky picks it up along the boards and fires from a severe angle. Easy save for Schmidt, The puck bounces around and Razin picks it up. The Rage manage a line change while in the offensive zone. Razin finds Crellar coming into the zone, Crellar wires it to the net but it careens wide! Anderson picks up the puck behind the net and fakes skating left, cuts right and goes for the wrap around!!!!!!

SCHMIDT MAKES THE SAVE!!!! Looks like Jarkko Kallestrom just tweeted out that Schmidt is going to have another All-Star performance... It looks like he might be right!!!!

The Rage seem to have found their footing and are now peppering the Platoon.

The ensuing faceoff is between Willems and Brovalchuk in the Platoon zone. Willems wins the draw and dishes it to Szlerchek who takes it himself. He reaches center ice and dumps it into the Rage zone! Constantine picks it up as it bounces around the boards. Ratzon hammers him into the boards! WHAT A HIT! The puck is loose and bounces out to Willems who fires it on goal!!!!

CJ James is getting lucky in the opening period, that's 2 or 3 posts by WKP already! It bounces out front to Lloren who fires a shot! Blocked by Razin. Razin finds a streaking Brovalchuk who carries it to the Platoon zone. He fires a shot! It goes wide of the net. Line change for the Rage. Creller picks up the puckand fires a shot from the side of the net, it hits the outside of the net and bounces to Ludvigsen. Ludvigsen wires a shot! Off the mark and it bounces around. Creller finds it as it bounces around

Creller wires it to the top glove corner!!! Ludvigsen bats it down!!!!

Not much happens the rest of the period. At 19:47 Constantine wins a faceoff but is hooked up by Lloren and Lloren gets called for Hooking.

Manhattan will come into the 2nd period with 1:50 of Powerplay time!

Goals for this period are 0 for West Kendall Platoon vs 1 for Manhattan Rage.
Shots for this period are 5 for West Kendall Platoon vs 11 for Manhattan Rage.
