Roenick picks up the puck in his own zone and comes flying down the wing, all the way down to the other side of the ice and fires a wrister!

Its blocked by Schieck.

MacIntyre collects the puck and fires a cannon!

Big Save by Partridge who manages to keep the game at a tie! Schieck skates over and gives him a well deserved tap on the pads.

Partridge looks unstoppable tonight!

The San Francisco penalty kill has been fantastic so far, killing three penalties without letting up a goal. The crowd is going wild!

14:59 into the first period Czerkawski winds up a shot....

Big save by Larson! He is however unable to control the rebound but the puck is picked up by Thomason who surges down the ice!

The puck goes just wide of the net!

The roar of the crowd is absolutely deafening! The fans are loving it! This is hockey baby!

17:18 BIG HIT! Lockhart is really throwing his weight around tonight. This is the third hit he’s had in this period alone! Roenick looks shaken but eventually gets up and skates over to the bench. Hopefully he is able to rejoin the game without any issues.

Manhattan has had some fantastic scoring opportunities but partridge stands tall, making some amazing saves. He is really dialled in tonight. You really have to make those powerplays count, especially in 5 on 3 situations and you could see the frustration on the Rage squad building up as they just kept getting denied by Partridge. Overall so far it looks like Manhattan is the hungrier team and they are playing the better game so far, constantly putting pressure on the Pride. Let’s see if San Francisco cant make a push here in the second and rally behind their tender.

Player spotlight! Jax Aittokallio

The Edmonton, Alberta native was drafted 75th overall in the S43 SHL entry draft and is nearing his 10th season in the league and has slowly but surely cemented himself as one of the premier forwards in the SHL. Counting this season, he’s played in over 500 games (including playoffs) and during his career he has averaged over 3 shots per game and he is currently boasting an impressive FO% of 54.5 percent. He is tough to defend against and never gives up on a play, making him a player to watch in high pressure games like these. Although he hasn't been as visible as some might have expected him to be during this season, look for him to contribute in a big way in these last few games of the season.

And we’re back here for the start of the second period. Both teams are lining up in the faceoff circle.

The puck is dropped and Czerkawski wins the faceoff for the Pride!

1:46 into the second period, after some early pressure from the Pride, Dash retrieves the puck and dumps it in towards the San Francisco goal to facilitate a linechange for the Rage.

Moyer moves the puck into the neutral zone and passes it to Lockhart who is joining the rush! The Manhattan defense is still unorganised from their recent linechange and are out of position!

Oh no, Lockhart loses the puck and its picked up by MacIntyre. He passes it up the ice to Roenick who is rushing through the neutral zone with Aittokallio!

Roenick passes the puck back to Vent who slows the game down as San Francisco frantically try to get back to their own end to mount a defense.

San Francisco is mounting a strong defense, not giving Manhattan any opportunities for an easy goal.

We have our first goal of the evening folks! The Rage are up one to nothing after some absolutely brilliant passing and a great show of patience. Aittokallio roofs it at point blank range, beating Partridge’s blocker! What an absolute beauty, you are definitely going to see this one on the highlight reels folks!

Schieck is able to block the redirection with his skate! What an amazing defensive play by the veteran blueliner, that one was going in for sure!
