Sarone carries the puck forward for the Rage.

Passes forward but it’s picked off by Banning.

Quick outlet to Iqbal who gains the offensive zone.

Iqbal cuts inside and then picks out a streaking Malkin.

Fires at goal.

Just over 5 minutes to play in the period and Pal Vikinstod is whistled for hooking. Another chance for Portland on the powerplay.

McZehrl wins the restart and Redding will clear the puck down the ice.

Sarantez collects in his own zone and gives it to Pejonis.

Pejonis down the wing and into the MAN zone.

Picks out Sarantez for a quick shot but it sails wide.

Sirius keeps it alive and the puck is worked around to Sarantez for another shot.

The Rage are really shooting themselves in the foot right now, as Bryce Collins gets called for holding, giving the Admirals their third powerplay of the period.

Face-off to Aittokallio’s right.

Otto wins it against Hamilton and directs the puck back to Weber.

Weber launches a shot first time..

Saved and held by Aittokallio.

Powerplay is still on and it’s another face-off in the Manhattan zone.

Portland control the puck as Banananov wins it to Iqbal.

The puck is cycled to Weber but he turns it over to Wollker.

Wollker can’t clear though and gives it away to Lundberg.

Finds Banananov who moves it to Weber.

Weber shoots from the point again.

Aittokallio denies him once more.

The period comes to an end with a little under 30 seconds remaining on the powerplay with the Admirals leading the Rage 1-0. The Admirals are ahead in the shot count too with 7 compared to the Rage’s 5.

Hamilton against Otto to start the second period and it’s the Rage player that wins it.

Wollker skates it forward and gives it back to Hamilton.

Hamilton cuts in from the wing and lets a wrist shot go.

Harter prevents the shorthanded goal with a fine glove save.

Aittokallio denies Malkin and covers up for a whistle.

Lundberg wins the draw to Cartier who snaps it at goal.

He catches Aittokallio off guard.

But it hits the goalie square in the chest anyway.

The powerplay ends and Portland’s lead stays at just one.

Lundberg checked hard by Collins but he’s able to give it to Cartier.

Cartier turns it over to Obrana in the neutral zone, but Perjonis picks his pocket.

To Rivet then over to Lundberg as the Admirals charge forward.

Lundberg exchanges a one-two with Weber before firing across the goal to Cartier.

Shoots.

Wick intercepts Renninger and moves it to Wollker.

Crosses the POR blueline and finds Sarone on the right wing.

Sarone shoots from a narrow angle but misses the target.

Wollker keeps the play alive and is able to pick out Collins close to the net.

He scoops it high at goal.

Can’t beat Harter.

Malkin passes to Pejonis and he is hit hard by Vikingstod.

That’s going to be a penalty though, and Vikinstod will take a seat for elbowing.

Fourth PP chance for the Admirals.
