HN: Well, that was painful but the crowd really showed some heart and stuck with her. Now, time the drop of the puck!

HN: And here we go! Both team’s first lines get set for the faceoff. Anaheim’s Kevin Robinson wins the puck to his off the faceoff against Trey Nets.

Leonid Kofix picks up the puck with speed and makes a move towards the boards at the blueline. Flash Gordon bodies him and gets his arm in an awkward position, holding up Kofix for just a second.

The refs arm goes up and it’s a penalty on the Scarecrow’s Flash Gordon, 2 minutes for holding only 5 seconds into the game!

Anaheim goes on the power play.

Danny Marston wins the face off and the puck goes to James Ronlain. He skates the puck to the top of blue line and sends the puck the down ice.

Anaheim has to regroup.

Nicholas Owens picks up the puck for the Outlaws and fires a pass up the middle to Kevin Robinson. The pass is too hot to handle and it results in an icing. Not a great way to start the power play.

Kevin Robinson draws the puck back off the face off but the puck squirts out of the zone.

Ivan Maximus is able to put pressure on the St. Louis D and forces the puck into the corner. Anaheim is finally able to take control and set up on the power play.

Bale and Ziggy Tambo move the puck back and forth between each other, but Danny Marston jumps Bale and is able to win the puck, clearing the puck down the ice.

Anaheim squanders their first power play of the game.

Honestly though, 0:05 into the game? Sounds like referee bias.

5 minutes have passed in the game and it's scoreless.

Both teams second lines are on the ice and the face off is in the Outlaws zone.

Ivan Maximus ties up Danny Marston and kicks the puck back to Grant Thurber. The Outlaws D man bangs the puck up the boards but Erben Kasius stops it at the blue line, sending it back in deep.

Both teams change up with their 4th units heading onto the ice.

Yompy Stearf picks the puck up in the corner and tries to make a break out pass to Ziggy Tambo along the right side of the boards.

Borys Franciszek steps in and intercepts the pass, quickly moving it to Alex Reyer who's high in the slot.

He looks to shoot, freezing the D, but slips it to Kriss Darzins who gets behind the D! He's in all alone!

Kriss Darzins in all alone on Strom Chamberlain in tight!

He makes a move to the far side, pulls the puck back and Chamberlain goes for the poke check!

Goal

Darzins puts the puck in the net! He scores for the Scarecrows!

Scarecrows go up 1-0 with 6:24 into the 1st period!
