Alright well I wasn't really planning to update this much but a couple days before the trade deadline, all hell broke loose.

Well let me start this off with a couple notes:

- Claimed Jamie McBain off of waivers, 85 OV OFD.
- Put Liles into lineup with McBain on second line. Rielly, Hamilton on 3rd line.
- Traded Colin White somewhere for a 3rd rounder
- Korbinian Holzer got claimed off of waivers :(

Alright so 3 days before the deadline and we are sitting at 36-27-5 and 2nd in the East and Anaheim offers us a trade...

No brainer. Needed offense and it came in the form of Bobby Ryan. He only has one year left on his deal so that's a bit scary but this is a precursor to my second move. This gives me a logjam on the wings and NO depth at center. Lupul and macarthur were wasting away on the third line after this deal so without playing a game I made a move with CAR.

Skinner is my #1C of the future and will only get better. I've been needing a legitimate center for a long time and Skinner gives me that. It was a big (read: HUGE) price to pay but if this team performs the way that I've built it, I'll have a dynasty for years to come. I had a big surplus on the wings and I'm not gonna pay guys millions (Lupul 4.5, Mac 3) to play 3rd line when I could get cheaper replacements.
