That was the end of our run, to be honest I was a little upset. We had 104 points on the year and the only major injury we had in the playoffs was losing Hjalmarsson for 8 weeks. But there were some positives as well, the pairing of Keith and Leddy showed great offensive prowess, so much so that I'll probably keep them together again this season. Well, with New Jersey winning the cup, it's time to move on to the draft I suppose.

Really I felt I was paying Kruger too much for what he brought to the table. That combined with the fact that Walch progressed nicely meant that if I were to keep Kruger, he'd likely be on the fourth line, I felt that moving him was better for all parties involved.

I also resigned C Mark McNeill, RW Ben Smith, D Brent Seabrook, D Niklas Hjalmarsson, G Corey Crawford, C Aleksander Barkov, RW Michal Vachovec, and D Duncan Siemens. LW Viktor Bykov, RW Samu Pirnes, and RW Marc Chartrand were all signed to entry level deals. I signed one player in free agency, C Justin Dowling to fill out my fourth line.
