This is more like it! At the halfway point the Blackhawks are 31-15-3, the 65 points are 2nd in the conference (which would put us at the 4th seed though, as Nashville has 66), but we are just one point out of first in the conference.

I've had a few injuries, though nothing major the longest I've lost someone is Kruger for 4 weeks, Orpik for 2 months, and Frolik for 2 weeks, however when Orpik was hurt, the computer sent me a trade: hurt player for hurt player:

To me this was a no brainer. Rielly will likely need another year of seasoning but this trade was about freeing up cap space and giving Duncan Siemens a permanent space in the top 6. Given how well my whole team (especially Sharp) have played I have rejected some trades that had I been playing poorly I would have accepted in a heartbeat, the most prominent being Patrick Sharp to Buffalo for Tim Bozon and Mark Pysyk, I may choose to revisit this trade in the offseason (as both have **** POT) but seeing how nicely my team is meshing right now I'm probably going to keep the core together.

Interesting Stat of the day:
Probably one of the few times I'll ever give an interesting fact, but this one is pretty cool. My backup goalie, Kent Simpson who is rated at 71 OVR, has played 10 games and gone 4-4-2 of those 4 wins, 3 have been shutouts. My starter, Corey Crawford 82 overall, however has played 43 games at 27-11-1 and has 5 shutouts. If Simpson had played as many games as Crawford, but replicated his stats thusfar, he'd have 12 shutouts!
