Lines:

LINE 1: Frolik/Toews/Kane

Third year in a row for this top line and can't argue with the results. Last season both Kane and Toews were over PPG, and Frolik had a career high 70 points. If the line can stay healthy all season, I hope to see big numbers from them.

LINE 2: Sharp/McNeill/Hossa

McNeill is young, Sharp is in his prime, and Hossa is old, you could write a sitcom about this line. A TWF/PWF/TWF looks good on paper though, and with McNeill still growing teams have trouble ahead.

LINE 3: Shaw/Kruger/Hayes

Shaw is playing a line up on what he should be playing, and Hayes a line lower, so everything averages out. I hope to see 25 points from each guy this season.

LINE 4: Volek/Walch/Smith

Walch is the big surprise here, my 2nd rounder this past draft is 75 OVR, good enough to earn a spot on the big team. Volek was drafted a draft or two ago and is now making his debut while we all know Smith's story. A PLY/PWF/SNP line looks good on paper though.

D-PAIR 1: Keith/Leddy

I've wanted to do this for a few seasons and am now going to act on it. Leddy can still grow so playing on the top pairing with a guy like Keith should give him quite a boost. If he proves he isn't cut out for top pairing minutes I can always switch Seabs back up.

D-PAIR 2: Hjalmarsson/Seabrook

Two solid reliable guys, both DFDs but both are capable of pitching in about 20 points.

D-PAIR 3: Orpik/Lehhtivuori

Two more trade candidates, I could send them packing and give the prospect pair of Morrow/Siemens a try, but right now I'll keep them around. If the season starts looking like a lost cause though, I may send them off for parts.

GOALIES: Crawford/Simpson

Due to having to extend 2/3 of my top line this offseason I was not able to keep both Crawford and Bachman around. Bachman has hit his prime and will no longer be growing, while each of the past two seasons Crawford has outshined Bachman in limited playing time. I keep Crawford on a one year deal to get Simpson some playing time, and hopefully I can cut him loose next season.
