Day 21 
Foxtrot Trottyfoxes (2) vs Alpha Rococos (6)

Hello and welcome to sunny Quebec City, where it is a balmy 5 below. I'm Joe Frazier and I'm here with you once again to recap this afternoons action in the 52nd Annual SMJHL Prospect Tournament. You know, I say this every year, but this tournament is one of my favorite events of the year. To see these young men and women playing at the highest levels while they prepare for their Junior draft. We've had some great action here the last 20 days and today was no different! Let's jump into it shall we? 

The first period was a doozy, with 7 total goals scored. Alpha broke the ice at 2:56 with a wicked wrister from Antti Antinen. Foxtrot answered and tied it up on a nice deflection from Scott Hamilton. Alpha started to run away with the game a bit, with 3 unanswered goals in about a 3 minute span. Pooks Halloway at 9:23, Thierry Parent at 10:35 and then Shame Rinne at 12:18. 

Foxtrot took their timeout at this point to regroup and catch their breath. They also swapped goalies, pulling out Sam Lowery and putting in Jerry Huuveri. Lowery left the game with 4 goals allowed in 12:18, a GAA of 19.5.  Things started to look up for Foxtrot when Scott Hamilton struck again at 13:50 with a booming slapper that I don't think Jason Vorhees ever saw. He certainly didn't react.  But, 8 seconds later, right off the faceoff Alpha slipped one past Huuveri. Beautiful tic-tac-toe play, Vladimir Pokozov to Thierry Parent back to Pokozov. 

Things got chippy at this point, a good bit of pushing and shoving but surprisingly no penalties called. The zebras got it sorted out and cooler heads prevailed. 

The second period started with a bang 30 seconds in as Eric Hudson launched a slap shot past Huuveri on a beautiful point to point feed from Mike Dugan. It got quiet after that as both teams finally buckled down on defense and that's the last of the scoring. The 6-2 score would hold out till the end of the game. 

Foxtrot got a little unlucky in the third period as they had 3 shots ring off the post. Goalies best friend. As they say here in Quebec, C'est la vie! A couple more Foxtrot goals would have made the game quite interesting.

Jason Vorehees picks up the win with 2 goals allowed on 33 shots, Sam Lowery takes the loss with 4 goals allowed on 18 shots. Jerry Huuveri played pretty well in relief, giving up 2 goals on 26 shots. Thierry Parent got the game winning goal, his first of the tournament. 

The win improves Alpha to 4-2 on the tournament while the loss drops Foxtrot to 3-5. These two teams will meet again in 2 nights for a rematch, but first tomorrow's match up we have Charlies Angels vs the Delta Planes, so make sure to tune in for that.
