At this point we're probably running short on time and patience due to the site crash and late night, so lets race through some of these highlights.......

Gold wins a draw against Coitus-Wagg and gets the puck to Ricky Bobby whos looking for the hat trick, but Heat Siecker gives him a nice combover with the business end of the lumber and that'll be 2 for high-sticking.....

Carolina only gets off one meaningful shot on the man advantage courtesy of Kaspars Claude, which a no-doubt frustrated Spector saves.

Spector gets tested with two tough shots at the six-minute mark, one from a deflection by Jaguar Johnson, and one from Michael Fitted, but stops both to keep it only at 4-0.

Kuster gets a shot off after Valentine-Okoli hits the endboards, but McMahon coolly makes the save and covers up. Last-Name comes in with a chance, McMahon makes the save, and the rebound goes Carolina's way and out of danger. Carolina is still getting the best of the play here though, despite presumably taking their foot off the gas.

Claude pounces on the umpteenth turnover in the game and gets a 2-on-1 going with Bobby Lane, but Lane hits the post! A minute later Johnson also gets a bad Colorado pass on his tape, the puck cycles around to Wachter, and he too hits the post! Carolina can't quite pad the lead further, but Colorado doesn't get much pressure on McMahon's end.

Conrad Farell gets called for Roughing.....

PENALTY:

..........but Colorado only gets off a missed shot on their first and only powerplay of the game.

Finally towards the end though, Colorado shows signs of life, necessitating a normal PBP........
