Five minutes into the second period, the Militia are buzzing and have just finished a couple of extended stays in Kelowna's zone. After re-gaining the blue line for the third time in a minute, Montreal's Ricky Bobby pulls back on the puck and surprises the Knights with a sharp shot towards Thorstrom's glove.
Unfortunately for the Militia, the puck didn't quite make it within the post, and it's sent flying out to the half-boards, where Phineas Gold picks it up and tries a shot of his own. The puck seems to hit a mass of bodies in front, but a pinching Padraig Sarantez gets a hold of it and keeps it in play. A pass back to Gold, who finds... ![]() Ladies and gentlemen, it's Ricky Bobby. The American rookie slots the puck past Alexander Thorstrom, showing his promising sense of offensive positioning. He wasn't dismayed by the earlier miss; it was just a matter of finding the open ice, and his teammate delivered the puck on a platter. Bobby made no mistake, and now the game's tied 1-1. |
