We're now very briefly into the 2nd period. Charlie Conway wins the face-off versus Hannu Hamalainen in the neutral zone after an offside, and moves forward. He's hit by Shane Gagner and loses the puck however, and it goes sideways. Silverwing picks it up and fires a wild shot at net.....

The puck goes in! 3-0 Impact! Goal

Chips has the puck in the neutral end now. He tries to make a move along he boards shortly after that goal, but Xavier Laine pinches his arm and pulls him back. Laine shouts something non-intelligible and the ref pulls him to the box.

Here we are around the midway point of the second. The puck is in the Mammoths end, and it's moving around. Multiple times it looks like the net is open, but the Impact never shoot. Finally, Oduya moves up and slaps the puck out of Hamalainen's reach and it goes flying over the board. The ref decides it was intentional.

Shortly after that, Dickie Pecker wins the face-off versus Johnny Watson in the Impact zone. Sludge picks it up, but is hit by Silverwing and loses the puck. Silverwing steps in and shoots....

Now we're around the 15 minute mark, and Dane Rowe wins the face-off versus Potato Chips in the Mammoths zone. He tries to make a pass, but Chips intercepts it and sends one to Ruud. Ruud skates forward and slams a shot onto Lewis-Flood. He stops it without a rebound, but Arik Mikita comes in and poke checks it out.

He takes a shot, but it misses the net. The puck bounces back to him, and he fires it again!

And there goes Flood's shutout! Goal

We're now around 17 minutes, and Riley McDonald wins the face-off versus Dickie Pecker in Colorado's zone. Chips manages to get the puck though, and moves into the Impact's zone with it. He's slammed into the boards by Hugh Johnson and looses the puck, but Jaxson Reynolds picks it up. He fires a hard shot.....

It's now only a 2 goal difference! Goal
