Jarvinen wins the draw, Stevenson has the puck, he sends it to Klinkhammer, klinkhammer sets up James with the one timer!

The period takes a step back in the last 7 minutes, both teams settling down, getting a couple of chances, but ultimately the period ends 2-1 Montreal. The shots are 10-6 for Detroit.

The 2nd period stars and the Falcons get the puck in deep, Rask picks it up and circles the net, he gets tripped up,and the Falcons are going to get another power play, and who else but Uhaa to sit in the box yet again!

Jarvinen wins the draw, James gets the puck over to Stevenson, he finds Klinkhammer who shoots!

It’s wide of the net, the Impacts send it down the ice. Stevenson recovers behind his goal, sets up Lehner along the boards, he dumps it in and recovers it, drops it for Federov, who quickly finds Novastar, one timer!

The power play ends, and it’s Montreal on the offense, Silverwing in the corner, he sends the puck over OH MAN, ANOTHER BIG HIT! This time its Federov who staples Silverwing into the boards, Uhaa will have none of that and there going to drop them!

Silverwing gets up and drops them too, Luna McDonald and Rask are all getting involved, this is an all our brawl!!!!!

The 2nd period is a pretty tight affair, not a lot of chances going either way.

Were approaching the 15 minute mark now of the 2nd, and it’s Gunnar Rask leading the charge again, he finds himself along the boards, he passes to Lehner, who tries a shot but its wide, the puck gets to the blue line, where James has it, he fires, Rask deflects it!

We hear a whistle, and it looks like James is going to the box, as we look at the replay we clearly see James hooked Rowe right before the pass was made, and ultimately slowed Rowe down enough, to prevent the breakaway.

So Montreal is going on the power play with less than 2 minutes left int he 2nd.
