Who knows, maybe we'll get a overtime

Quarter 3:

0:00 - There's only one quarter left to play, and with the Firebirds losing by one goal, they can still win this game if they go all out and take the fire to the Knights. Naturally, the Knights will be looking to do the same and find a goal that destroys the hope of the home fans.

And the action gets underway nearly immediately from the drop of the puck, DJ Stanley takes the puck from Randleman in the neutral zone and he gets in front of goal and goes for it!

... But Bjornsson is aware of the play and takes it on his chest for the stop...

A minute goes by, and this time the Knights are on offense with Chamas getting a rare crack at goal!

Agonizingly close from Chamas, but Kyle Prince stopped it nonetheless, but the puck is rotated back and now Whooves goes for goal!

Not this time says Kyle Prince who stops yet another good shot from ending up in the back of the net!

And the play once more returns to the Firebirds side, the Knights still trying to find the goal, Oduya with the shot!

He's on fire! there's no way Kyle Prince is going to let this game slip from the grasp of the Firebirds, he's doing everything he can to survive!

:-? That would give me more time to write up Game 4. There's been a delay, but I'm writing it up as we speak. Smile

Quarter 3:

5:00 - Both teams are going at each other with real venom, knowing that one goal can turn the momentum upside down.

The Knights are still getting the most on offense, and this time Whooves tries to beat Kyle Prince who has the entire crowd behind him right now!

Nope, there is just nothing that can stop Kyle Prince from keeping the Firebirds in contention!

But the Knights aren't giving up one bit, Kristján Viljhalmsson wins the faceoff and Randy grabs the puck, Veenstra gets a touch, then Randy gets it back, he decides to play it back to the Icelandic center who goes for goal!

Kristján Viljhalmsson makes it 4-2 with a scorcher of a shot, and Kyle Prince looks absolutely livid by the lacklustre defense shown by his teammates. The fans are silent, and the Knights look more and more able to finish this game off!

Code:
Kelowna Knights , Kristjan Vilhjalmsson 1 (Randy Randleman, Matt Veenstra) at 5:53

Vilhjalmsson arrives! Get in, you Viking beauty!

Quarter 3:

8:00 - The knights are ahead with two goals, and they look very strong in their lead over the Firebirds. Despite the hard efforts from many of the Firebirds players, they've simply been overpowered by their Kelowna opponents.

Going into the 8th minute of the third quarter MacGregor misjudges a pass and ends up icing it, giving the Knights a chance to win a faceoff in the zone of the Firebirds. Kristján Viljhalmsson is the one that wins the faceoff, and he passes it to Ivar, who plays it to Randy, who plays it back to Kristján, who plays it to Scuderi, back to Kristján who goes to Randy, back to Scuderi, back to Kristján, now to Veenstra, back to Kristján...

Oh, and they finally remembered that they should actually, you know, shoot at goal!

[Image: G0AL.gif][Image: G0AL.gif][Image: G0AL.gif][Image: G0AL.gif][Image: G0AL.gif]

And then Kristján Viljhalmsson makes it five to two, and the Firebirds look completely lost on the ice...

Code:
Kelowna Knights , Kristjan Vilhjalmsson 2 (Matt Veenstra, Mirko Antonio Scuderi) at 8:18

And to make his night even worse, Kyle Prince has been pulled from the game by the Firebirds coaching staff! Milo Ethier will have the chance to get into goal and salvage something from this game!
