The anthems have been sung, the fans are in their seats, and its time to begin the game. Muerto wins the faceoff clean against Kazarian and back to Toivanen, but a pass forward is intercepted by Maverick who streaks into the offensive zone.

After some missed shots and blocks, USA cant get anything going. Boija skates down ice with the puck, Moore goes for the poke but gets the skates! Manius gathers the puck and the whistle sounds, Moore to the box, 2 minutes for tripping.
