With a berth in the SMJHL Finals on the line, the Prince George Firebirds and HALIFAX RAIDERS meet tonight in a winner-take-all Game 7 that promises to be electric. After the Firebirds tied up the series in a thrilling Game 6, the city of HALIFAX has been buzzing in anticipation. Considering how evenly matched this series has been, there's no doubt this is the perfect way to decide it.

The crowd, chattering excitedly as the minutes to puck drop slowly dwindled, blew the roof of the Scotiabank Centre clean off when Halifax native Sarah McLachlan emerged from the tunnel with a microphone and waved to the crowd from her fancy red velvet singing pad.
There wasn't a dry eye in the house as images of abused dogs and cats played on the jumbrotron and she made a plea for donations to help these poor creatures before seguing into the Canadian and American national anthems.
