Levi Kubrak wins the opening face-off and gets it back to Biznette. Biznette banks it off the boards to Bernie Sanders, Sanders skate it in over the blue line and fires a quick shot thats easily stopped by McFadden

Eric Verstappen lines up versus Mario Nyquist for the draw in the Prince George Firebirds zone.
Verstappen wins it over to Strawberry Blake. Blake is hit by Alexander Loseb but Blake keeps the puck and goes to break out of the zone. He skates and... OH hes hauled down by Matvej Oslov! Oslov is going to the box for hooking! Here comes a Whalers powerplay!

Nyquist wins the draw and the puck is quickly dumped down the ice killing time off the penalty. Vancouver regroups and gets in the offensive zone to setup. The puck is moved to Michael Young and he fires the one timer but McFadden is there for the stop and whistle.
Kubrak wins the draw and quickly moves into the corner. Sanders cycles the puck to Kubrak and looks for the pass back but hes covered. Kubrak skates it out himself and fires but McFadden saves it, Rebound goes out to Fondente and he swats it but McFadden sticks out the leg and the rebound now goes to Sanders! Sanders looks to roof it on the second rebound!......

We're even strength now and play goes back and forth with neither team doing much of anything. Both teams get a few weak shots off but neither goalie is tested.
We jump to later in the period as Randolph Grey looks like he is going to get an odd man rush when hes hauled down by Alessandro Fondente and the Firebirds will go on the powerplay!

Levi Kubrak wins the face-off versus Mario Nyquist but quickly is separated from the puck and its dished back to Hunky Monkey.
Shot by Hunky Monkey but he misses the net.
John Beckner picks it up off the boards and shoots, its low far pad and Triforce Link kicks it right out to the stick of Randolph Grey.
Grey looks like he has an empty net but he cant handle the rebound! He finally gets his stick on it but Link is coming across! Grey finally throws it on net but its too late and Link stops it

Nicolas Winter wins the face-off versus Levi Kubrak. The puck is moved to Stinkywink Dupoopoo but the pass is intercepted by Sanders.
Sanders takes a hit from Winter and Winter steals the puck. He moved into the Whalers zone but the Firebirds are called for offside
