Hello and good morning ladies and gentlemen, we're very grateful that you decided to join us for some SMJHL playoff action between the Prince George Firebirds and the Colorado Mammoths. This is a series that has been nothing short of thrilling, with Colorado taking an early 3-0 series lead before Prince George fought tooth and nail to get themselves back into it to get themselves just one game away from tying the series. The Firebirds have managed to cope with the threat of elimination very well so far, but will the third time be the charm for the Mammoths when it comes to taking the series?

Let's now turn our attention to the starting lineups for tonight! Here's how our two teams are going to be looking:

By all accounts it looks like we're in for a thrilling game so make sure you're right here! I'm going to get things rolling at about 9am EST!

The two teams are on the ice and we're ready to begin. Kjell Eide lines up opposite Potato Chips to take the game's opening faceoff....and we're underway!

Eide is lining up to take a faceoff against Charlie Conway in the Mammoths zone, and the Firebirds will surely have their sights on picking up a goal. Eide gets his stick down and wins the faceoff and transfers the puck to Leon Webb....Webb's been levelled by a huge hit from B.J. Subban and the Mammoths now have possession. Colorado carry the puck into the Firebirds zone and close in on Michael McFadden in net for Prince George, 2 on 1! The puck is passed across to Carson Shmyr who fires off a shot aimed high!

It rattles off the post! A welcome reprieve there for McFadden and the Firebirds. Prince George clears the puck out of their zone and manage to escape unscathed.

The first period has been very heavily in favour of Colorado thus far. Jason Torte's stick ended up where it shouldn't be and he will spend two minutes in the box for tripping, which puts Colorado on the powerplay. Can they capitalise?

The Mammoths on the man advantage, the puck played back to Tyler Drouin on the point who lets go a very fierce shot...



but McFadden comes up with the glove save once again. He is on fire as he manages to keep out further shots from Dvorak, Ruud and Mikita before the puck is finally cleared, but surely this level of play is unsustainable for anyone? His defense should try to step up and lighten the load here!

We're midway through the first period of this so far very tense game of hockey. Saint Jericho rushes into the play and is judged to have been guilty of an interference penalty and so the Mammoths go once again to the powerplay....

Conway wins the faceoff, the puck is played across to Stromberg....who shoots off a one timer!

McFadden once again comes up good for Prince George! He's really been carrying the team this period with a series of spectacular saves!

The Firebirds have killed their penalty, and after Sim Browski iced the puck, we have a face off in the Mammoths zone. Nyquist wins the draw and passes the puck to Donald Trump. Trump holds the puck for a moment before shooting low on Andrews.....

The rest of the first period plays out fairly uneventfully as the Mammoths push to get on the board and the Firebirds do their utmost to keep them off it. Join us in a few minutes where the second period will be getting underway!

We're back here with some more hockey for you, and we're about four minutes into the second period with Prince George currently holding a 1-0 lead in a game where they could face elimination.

Conway and Eide take a faceoff in the neutral zone, Conway wins it and plays it off to David Dvorak on his wing....

Dvorak's tearing into the zone, rounds the defensemen and gets himself in on a one on one with McFadden!

Dvorak comes in, dekes left and right......

McFadden somehow manages to get his pad in front of it and stops it before quickly covering up! The Firebirds goalie is again coming up clutch when called upon!
