- Schmidt - 10-11-2015

<div align="center">

Ladies and gentlemen, Schmidtshow Productions™ is proud to present to you, live from Manitoba...

The S25 Challenge Cup Finals!!!

I, Colin Schmidt, will be your host this afternoon for the last game of the SHL's 25th season, a heavily anticipated seventh game between two of the league's original teams!

West Kendall Platoon [Game 7] Winnipeg Jets

HOW WE GOT HERE

Game 1: Platoon 4 - 3 Jets
Game 2: Jets 3 - 1 Platoon
Game 3: Jets 4 - 3 Platoon (2OT)
Game 4: Jets 2 - 1 Platoon (OT)
Game 5: Platoon 4 - 1 Jets
Game 6: Platoon 4 - 3 Jets

After a game one loss, Winnipeg seemed to want the Cup more than the Platoon, edging them out in three very close games. However, West Kendall has refused to go down without a fight, putting up strong performances in games five and six. Home ice advantage has been nonexistent in this series, as the road team has won four of the six games. Will the Platoon steal a victory as the visitors, or will the Jets celebrate in front of their Winnipeg faithful?

SERIES STATISTICS

Goals
Platoon 17
Jets 16

Shots
Platoon 196
Jets 180

Blocked Shots
Jets 62
Platoon 54

Hits
Jets 151
Platoon 150

Faceoffs
Platoon 53.9%
Jets 46.1%

PIM
Platoon 84
Jets 70

Powerplay
Platoon 9.7% (3/31)
Jets 8.1% (3/37)

It shouldn't come as much of a surprise that two teams headed for a game seven would be very even in the stats department. West Kendall holds a slight edge in most categories, most notably faceoff wins, but yet remain tied in the series. The Platoon's parade to the penalty box hasn't seemed to hurt them as both teams' powerplay units are struggling hard, likely due to the solid goaltending of Prikulis and Schmidt.
