Who's pumped for game one of the Chiefs vs. North Stars!!!??? I am! And you better fuckin' be too!
We're here in Minnesota about an hour from puck drop (10pm EST estimate) and the city is pumped for some Chiefs hockey! So pumped they got your announcers drunk in all the excitement.
I was going to have a much better pre-game analysis here but vacation officially started tonight and beers have been consumed. The fun begins soon!
While the Chiefs are the Beasts of the East. it's the North Stars that have enjoyed success in the head-to-head series between these two teams winning five of eight (two going to a shootout). This series is expected to be close despite Minnesota being a much better team on paper.
Between the pipes we have Dymo Ranjan for the Chiefs and Mark Harter for the North Stars.
Opening lineup for the North Stars is Cunningham, Schenn and Eriksson with Scherbluk and Stryfe manning the blueline.
And for the hometown Chiefs we have the ever popular Chico Salmon at center with Sarantez and Jacobsen on his wings. Garbanzo and Byrde follow-up on the blueline.
This should be a good tilt and both teams will look to set the pace of the series early on.

Report: Lots of current and former Kelowna Knights in attendance tonight to support the many players on the North Stars organization hailing from the same junior team. Ales Smirnov and Viktor Svensson from the West Kendall Platoon were spotted earlier with former Knights teammates Mark Harter and David Benson downtown Minnesota. The Platoon unfortunately will not be seeing any playoff action again this season after a disappointing regular season.
