- Steelhead77 - 01-08-2015 <div align="center">ROUND 2 – Western Conference Finals - GAME 6 ![]() AT ![]() ******************************* Game Preview: We’ve got a great match up tonight! Game 6 of the Western Conference finals between Texas and Seattle. The Renegades hold a 3-2 series lead after a big game 5 win on home ice and are looking to put Seattle away tonight en route to their 2nd consecutive Challenge Cup appearance. Not so fast though as Seattle knows a thing or two about winning big games and tonight is their biggest game of the season. They’ll look to feed off the home crowd and try and force a game 7. It’s going to be a good one. Starting Line Ups Texas Renegades: Jordan Hall – Shawn Velevra – Mikhail Krivokrasov Chris Parltrow – Jim Lahey Jordin FourFour Seattle Riot: Thomas King – Chara Brojled – Ammon Tutankamun Vlad Bodnar – Chuck Winnfield Dustin Rose Line Notes: Texas: The Renegades are going with 3 strong lines tonight and their 1st line has been playing well combining for a large number of points in the series. Texas 2nd and 3rd lines have been chipping in but the first line is really carrying them. Parltrow has been averaging 28 minutes a game and has looked good doing it, he’ll be leaned on heavily again tonight. All forward lines and defense pairings will need to be strong tonight though if they want to compete with Seattle’s depth. Seattle: The Riot have come up with a new 1st line for tonight’s game and have spread out their depth in an interesting way. Superstar Chris McZehrl is playing on the 4th line, but with the same ice time % as the 1st line and instead of a Winter, Brovy and McZ as a top line, they are now all playing center on different lines. All 4 of Seattle’s forward lines are at 25%, which is an interesting choice by GM Dustin Rose, or perhaps that is the idea of co-gm McZ. Regardless Seattle’s depth is strong and any line can play a big role tonight. All lines will need to be clicking if they want to stay in this series. Should be interesting to see how this new concept works out for Seattle, it’s do or die. ********************************** Now let’s look at Tonight’s Keys to the game: Player Texas needs to Shutdown: Ammon Tutankamun ![]() King Tut has had a strong playoffs for Seattle and has been a force every time he steps on the ice. This is exactly what Seattle brought him in to do. Be a playoff performer and he has not disappointed. He had 6 points in the 7 game series against Edmonton last round and has been an important factor in this series as well. His strong physical play and timely offense has helped Seattle get to game 6 and he’ll need to be contained by Texas tonight if they want to end this series in 6 games. Player Seattle needs to Shutdown: Jordan Hall ![]() After being around since Season 8, you’d think Jordan Hall would have figured out how to drink out of a water bottle by now, but no such luck. While the strange invention may continue to perplex him, he does know to play him some hockey. Hall has been the most effective forward for Texas in these playoffs and will need to be good again tonight if he wants to become the player with the oldest balls to ever play in back to back to back challenge cup finals. He continues to evade father time and Seattle would be wise to not overlook him tonight as if he gets some space he could hurt them. Let’s just hope his hips make it through the game in one piece and he doesn't hurt himself. Tonight’s X-Factors! Texas: Jordin FourFour ![]() Jordin FourFour has had an incredible season and coming off a cup run last season has to be considered one of the best goalies in the game right now. He’s always tough to beat and plays well under pressure. FourFour has been good in this series and will need to be great tonight as he tries to withstand a team facing elimination. Goalies are always the most important players on the ice, but in the playoffs with everything on the line, they are even more important than usual. FourFour’s play tonight should be a deciding factor in this game. Seattle: Dustin Rose ![]() From one goalie to another, Dustin Rose also had an extremely impressive regular season and has played well in these playoffs. After winning the cup a few seasons ago, Rose has taken his game to an even higher level and now and enters these playoffs with even more experience. He’ll need to be on his A game tonight as everything is on the line for his team. If Rose falters, Seattle’s season is most likely over. If he’s on his game though he could live to play another day. I don’t know how these goalies deal with that kind of pressure. Rose’s game should be a big factor tonight as expected. Hey look at that, One of the Texas Ice Girls made the trip!!! ![]() Wait, she wasn’t the only one, another Texas Ice girl hops on the ice! ![]() Wait, where’s Seattle’s Ice girls???
