OSLO, NORWAY – News out of Norway suggests that SHL and VHL player agent Turd Ferguson has branched out into a new sport – soccer (or as the rest of the world calls it, football). Ferguson, who normally only has high-profile clients in hockey, has decided to try something new and sign Norwegian youngster Thor Eriksen. Eriksen, 18, has been relatively undiscovered until now, however one scout stated that Eriksen “has the potential to truly become something special”.

Eriksen, who has played forward his entire life, seems to play best as a lone striker, and appears to be able to create a scoring chance from almost anywhere. Although he will likely have to play in a two- or three- forward formation during his professional career, don’t expect the young Norwegian to be too far out of his element. Eriksen has shown flashes of passing ability, and his teammates generally agree that he is not selfish or a ball hog.

“I’ve had clients that play soccer before,” said Ferguson, “but I’ve never seen a young player quite like Thor. He’s got a great shot on him and seemingly moves quicker with the ball than without it. I think he’s got amazing potential and I can’t wait to see how he turns out.” However, there have been absolutely no rumors of where Eriksen will sign. “We’re keeping it under wraps,” said Ferguson with a grin. “We’ve talked with a few teams and Thor will likely come to a decision soon. You’ll just have to wait and see what happens.”

I'll likely start playing this tonight or tomorrow. I haven't decided what team I want to play for yet, but I just wanted to start the topic with a short article. I'll likely have and update every month (in the game's time, not real time), with a quick article every once in a while.

I'm open to team suggestions. I'll be starting out at around 65 overall, but I would prefer a larger team, as my player will be loaned out for the first season no matter what.

LONDON, ENGLAND – Norwegian striker Thor Eriksen ended the drama of which team he would sign with, as he recently joined Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur. While the 18 year old forward likely won’t make an immediate impact on the first team, Eriksen seems to represent the future of the club. This was confirmed in Eriksen’s first game with Tottenham, a 4-0 win over Spanish side Getafe CF. Eriksen added one goal in the thirtieth minute, while winger Gareth Bale was the man of the match after goals in the seventh and eleventh minutes, one of which came off of a free kick.

It appears that the Spurs have also loan listed Eriksen, looking to get him more first team experience with a club in a lower league. Rumors state that Eriksen has already denied a possible loan offer prior to the friendly against Getafe; however it seems likely that regardless of Eriksen’s wishes, he will be shipped out for the season. “I think a loan would be very beneficial for Thor,” says Eriksen’s agent Turd Ferguson, “and I know he agrees with me. We’ll see how it turns out.”

I think I took the second or third loan offer I got. I started playing for my new team in the last friendly of the preseason, I'll write an update about it soon.

YEOVIL, ENGLAND – While sitting out in Tottenham’s second friendly (a 2-1 win over Udinese), Thor Eriksen realized that he had to be loaned. “I was watching from the pressbox, and I realized something,” Eriksen said through a translator. “I’m still young, and I’m still a prospect. I’m not going to start on the first team. I have to be loaned.”

And loaned he was, as Eriksen was sent to Npower League 1 side Yeovil Town, where he would be paired with veteran forward James Hayter in a 4-1-3-2 formation. The young Norweigan arrived in Yeovil just in time to play the last friendly of the preseason against the MLS’s Vancouver Whitecaps. The first half of the game started slowly, with both teams in a deadlock and no goals scored. The game remained goalless until the 78th minute, when Eriksen fired a shot from outside the box into the bottom corner, just past the outstretched arms of goalkeeper Brian Sylvestre. Eriksen appeared to fit in very well with the team, as the game finished in a 1-0 win for Yeovil Town.
