So I saw other people doing this and decided it would be kind of fun, I am taking over the Buffalo Sabres (team has been decided through random number generator). The rosters are custom but do not give the Sabres an advantage in any way. Im playing on All Star and Hard difficulty but most if not all games will be simmed. This is a bit of a change since I am usually always Edmonton so this should be fun

Fifteen games in and my Sabres are playing well. We are 9-4-1 and currently sit 6th in the East with 19 points. However only 1 point seperates 6th from 1st so we aren't that far back. I noticed that we didn't have a ton of salary room quickly and that is stopping me from making any huge moves so I needed to acquire at least a little breathing room on that front so here is my first trade with the Kings.

This was a hard trade to make, we lose our captain and one of our best players in Jason Pominville. On the other hand we pick up Dustin Brown who will soon be named our new captain. He fits my style better than Pominville does as he is more of a two way player that can hit, score, skate, fight and do it all. We also pick up a 2nd rounder and I feel I can either package that pick with another asset for a better asset or if worst comes to worst get a good prospect at the draft. Brown will take Pominvilles spot on the first line. We now also have around 7 million in cap room to make more deals.

So, when I started this Be A GM I wasn't quite sure what my goal was. I wasn't sure if I wanted to rebuild or not so let the season decide its self. 35 games into the season we are currenty 19-13-4...We were playing well but I decided to spice things up. I really didn't view this team as a contender so decided tomake a big splash.

I like this trade a lot. Although I lose the best goalie in the game I get back a future top 6 winger in Frk, a future starting goalie with style in Mrazek (Hasek 2.0
) a first round pick that I believe I can turn into a serviceable player and a backup for the AHL team.

Talk about an ugly trade. If you're moving Miller for prospects, you might as well move Stafford, Vanek, Regehr, Ehrhoff, Leopold, and anyone else over 30.

So hopefully he can develop and be my number 1 centre by next year. Lose a couple of 2nd rounder sadly but I think Hubs is worth it.

Yah I may of, looking back at the Miller deal I definitely didn't get what I could have. I like Huberdeau though and he's broken 90 overall before for me so hopefully he can do the same in this sim
