We get some offensive zone action to start the game with Mitchell van der Heijden and Daniel Bischoff getting a shot off each. The first misses the net, and the second is blocked by a sprawling Luciano Vessot.
About a minute later, Andrey Barbashev II is assessed a minor penalty for holding the stick of Cyril Vyskoc. Anchorage will look to take an early lead.

There are a couple of missed zone entries by the Armada, leading to two offsides. They begin the powerplay with a lack of rhythm. Nerves, perhaps?
