The play in the ensuing minutes goes back and forth. Offsides, icing, deflections out of both zones, it all serves to drag the pace down to a halt.
Nerves have set in for both sides, and you get the sense that they're playing not to lose.
Some solid saves from Mike Hunt and Alexander Thorstrom see both offenses stifled, but in the end neither team has a reason to believe they should've scored.

Mike Hunt snags the puck out of the air with an elite amount of flourish, and there's a collective groan in the stands as several thousand standing Knights supporters sit down in unison. You could see the Kelowna bench ready to spill out onto the ice.
A couple of relieved Militia tap Hunt on the pads as they head back for a line change. Close call.
