The third period starts as expected with Matt Kholin winning the opening faceoff however the puck is iced by Michael Fox. Team USA decides to wake up and actually play hockey probably after a stern talking to from their coach. Bobby Sharp hits the puck carrier and the puck is picked up by Troy Reynolds.

About halfway through the period team Canada remains up in this game and they keep peppering the net with shots like it is a practice game.
The shots seem to go back and forth but both teams are holding the lines better than before in the game and nothing is going in. This happens for about 7 minutes and finally Gaspard Boone takes advantage of the puck. He shoots but misses. Atlas Rush picks up the puck and shoots…
