If TB is as bad as you say, then that Ennis trade is a really good one.

They were as bad as I said. They finished last, last season and have a horrible looking team.

But of course, just my luck. I re-united Ennis/Gerbe in Tampa Bay and they are some how money. TB is 5-1 through their first 6 games. Im hoping the wheels fall off when the games become bigger but atm it's looking like I lost the deal.

When you play them, just make it a point to pound on them as much as possible.

I'll do that Tongue .... So horrible start... 12-10-2. We've at least picked up out game recently and are on a 5 game winning streak. Our defence has had huge injuries as it always does. Myers and Cole are both gone long term. I will need to do some work on my D pretty soon. I have made Liewen my back up and surprisingly he's done pretty well. He's played 3 games so far and is 2-1 allowing 3 goals. I am starting to think I will have to move one of Galchenyuk/Shinkaruk/Huberdeau by the TD because this off-season I have Grigorenko/Pysyk/Bouillon and Huberdeau again all to re-sign. I might just qualify Huberdeau though and see if I can get him for a bit less.

I definitely need to cut cap though.

EDIT: Also updated OP with awards and stuff. I'll try to get out stats from last season today.

EDIT 2: I just simmed a few games and Pysyk had a 4 goal game :o ...Never had that happen from a Dman.

EDIT 3: Last season's stats:

Jonathan Huberdeau 13-63-76
Alex Galchenyuk 18-40-58
Mikhail Grigorenko 34-22-56
Brendan Gallagher 17-29-46
Zemgus Girgensons 3-26-29 (<Y U SUCK)
Sam Reinhart 11-29-40
Pascal Lemieux 9-42-51
Mark Pysyk 11-26-37
Petr Mrazek 49-20-0 (7 SO)

EDIT 4: Wow this is weird. I actually have 3 Klementyev's on my AHL team. Ruslan, Sergey and Sergei

Hey look, the Blues won a Cup!

- O4L - 01-04-2013

Our Sabres are currently 29-18-4 through 51 games for 62 points. We currently sit 6th in the east but only 2 points seperate us from 2nd. All are injuries have cleared up and our team is playing quite well

ASG Sabres

Huberdeau
Shinkaruk
Pysyk
Mrazek

All made the team!

I'd like to be able to pick up another scoring forward from a team but atm we have barely any cap room (going to try and fix that this off-season possibly sooner). I have been thinking about trading Huberdeau again..Still not sure what I am going to do...Suggestions are welcome Smile

Does Mrazek really make 9 Million a season :o ? I never had to re-sign a 90+ player so I don't know what it takes to accomplish that...

Could you tell me something about the following players and how they developed in your game? I'm approaching the Draft of my second season and have lots of picks this time around, so it would be great to know how some of them develop, how many stars they have etc... Some of them might be computer-generated, not sure which ones though. Oh and btw I'm using one of the first Updates, don't know if this is relevant... Those are the players (Bold are the ones I'm sure are real:

C Sam Reinhart
V Rob Lorentz
C Justin Valette
RW Mikael Johnsson
LW Alexandre Grandmaison
LW Scott Lowry
RW Juha Mikkola
LW Nathan Pancel
LW Dominik Volek

V Ned Sexton
LW Joel Pelech
RW Justin Auger
RW Ulf Olofsson
C Ryan Hewitt
RW Isaac Benn
V Devan Fafard
RW Geoffrey Spencer
V Gene Crooks
LW Daryl Weal
C Sam Backes
V Seth Anderson

Thanks in advance Smile

Yup, I thought about dealing him because I have won with lesser goalies before but decided he was too good to not keep Tongue ....I looked at moving him for (86) John Gibson + but noticed that even John Gibson made 7.5 million. I was hoping for a salary between 4-5 million to really cut some cap but 7.5 was too much.

(My rosters also from the first couple of updates.)

Justin Auger is a UFA and hasn't developed whatsoever, he's 61 overall.
Sam Reinhart, playing for my Sabres. Is currently 84 overall but I expect him to end up between 85-88 ... Devan Fafard is in the Panthers orginization. He is 65 overall. I think at this point he's a long shot to make the NHL but if he did he would be between 77-83 ... Pancel is a big long shot but could develop into a top six AHL player @ 64 overall. Dominik Volek should make the NHL, he will probably be ready by next year. I can see him being a top six player @ 73 overall.Alexandre Grandmaison is 62 overall and is a long shot to make the NHL. Probably a top 9 AHL player for life.

The rest I couldn't seem to find, sorry.

- O4L - 01-05-2013

To start off I am thinking of ending the sim in the next couple of seasons. I may just play out my career but that's undecided. So I wanted some idea's on the next team. I was thinking some fun ones would be, NJ, Minnesota, Washington, NYI and Montreal. Other teams/ideas are welcome Smile ....

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Our Sabres are currently 33-23-4 though 60 games good for 70 points.

So a few day's before the deadline (when I always make trades) Shinkaruk went down to injury for 6 weeks. I was in the final stretch of games and decided these games were to important to be loosing. So I made a trade to pick up a rental player who I may re-sign this off-season depending on what he wants. The Sabres are all in this season and we want a cup.

TO NYR
Jens Westin
2021 2nd round pick
2021 3rd round pick

TO BUF
(83) Carl Hagelin

I like Hagelin, he was a 4th liner on the Rangers but will be a top 9 forward on my team. He's got a good shot and good hands so should fit right in! Hoping to get season done today.

Damn and those are the supposed "top-players" so far in this Draft and I've scouted quite a bit already :(... But thanks for the help, do you maybe also have their star-ratings Smile?

Nooooo, don't leave the Sabres! At least not before you've won a cup (so probably never :D))!

Dis guy  ...Yah, I might just stay until I win a cup. Which hopefully happens.

Reinhart was 4 1/2

Volek was 4

Pancel 3 1/2

Fafard 3 1/2

Grandmaison 2 1/2

Auger 2

I would go after Volek if you have a pick in the range of 10-20. Might take a few years to develop but should become a good player.

EDIT: Im thinking of trying to acquire Yakupov. We don't have a huge sniper in our line-up and he would fit really well..

I have one that's currently Top-5 (Detroit :lolSmile and one that will probably be in the 10-15 range (St. Louis) as well as a few very late one (including Toronto :lolSmile... The problem is that there currently are almost no players that I'd deem Top-5/10 worthy and to get Reinhart I'd probably need the 1st Overall. Volek could be realistic though. There currently are a few other 4-4 1/2 star projected players that I haven't scouted yet, but as always I project them to drop out of this range quickly when the Scouts come...

Meh, I don't trust my scouts a ton, especially early on. I have had players that my scouts said were good/sucked go up/down a few stars after I draft them. A big judge of talent for me has always been the prospects game. Usually if a player had over 3 points I try and pick him. They are usually pretty good for me..
