"A huge goal late in the first period from Maxim Horvat to put the Renegades in front of the Jets as we head into the break."

"And Joe B. this is just great work on the powerplay by Texas, using their man advantage to move the puck to where they want it, get the goalie moving across his crease and the open man having no trouble putting that past him."

"We're through 20 minutes here in Dallas, where the Renegades currently lead the Jets two to one. We'll be back after the intermission with the second period of game 5 of this exciting series."

"Well Joe B. in my mind they need to work the puck from the point better. We've seen a lot of the offensive impetus coming from Wikstrom and Onoprienko but there needs to be more quarterbacking going on from the blue line. The guys like Manious, Einstein and Robertson are all threats offensively and if Winnipeg can get them going they'll be back in this one soon."

"The Renegades move the puck over the blueline here and into the Jets zone, Å atan's there however and dislodges it from Palat with his stick before he gets creamed along the wall by Palat! OH, and Liam Kinsler takes a huge run at Elyk off the puck here and that's going to get called for inteference."

"That was a reckless move by Kinsler there Joe B. and we can see the two teams getting into it here, there's no love lost between these two so far this series and it looks set to continue tonight."

"That one sends the Jets to the powerplay, can they capitalise on this opportunity to tie up the game early in the second?"

"We're one minute into the Jets' man advantage here as Patrik Šatan lines up to face Jack Durden in the Renegades' zone. Šatan wins it and gets it to Elyk, Elyk looks to get one on net but it's going to be stopped by Lidstrom on it's way. The Jets' powerplay unit look efficient tonight as they circle the Renegades' zone looking for an opportunity.

Johnny Cahill with the puck, he shoots wide but his D partner Big Manious collects the puck, Manious FIRES.."
