Russia gets more sustained pressure for the next minute. They work the puck around and it finds its way to the stick of Anazibf who shoots! Blocked by Doskocil, but the puck find a Russian stick. Fouquette get the pass and shoots…stopped REBOUND…

Stopped by Partridge and covered. Partridge has really settled into this one after a shaky start to the game. Looking like he will have a great performance at this rate for the remainder of the game. The ensuing faceoff is won by the Czechs, but a quick offsides ends any chance at sustained pressure from their first line.

The Czechs look to get a second goal this period by sending out their first line right after the goal is scored and they lose the draw, but quickly take it back and take it deep into the Russian end. Smyth again sees a shooting lane, but misses wide, only for the puck to find the stick of Czerkawski who puts it on target…

A few minutes of sloppy hockey with only a single shot on goal easily brushed aside by partridge ensued after this until the 17th minute of the game when a pass form Czerkawski is picked off by Bruchevski, who send the puck to Fouquette, who sees his shot bounce off the Czech defender, but find his teammates stick, who quickly fires on Partridge but its pushed aside. Oh? REBOUND finds Bruchevski…
