With just seven minutes left in the second period, a flurry of action sees Aleksandr Scherbak send a puck in on Montreal's Mike Hunt, and Schweinsteiger can just barely get in front of it for the visitors. Scherbak picks up his own rebound, but his shot misses the net and bounces off the boards to an open Simon LeBlanc, who blasts the puck on goal!

What a save!
Hunt shows off his athleticism to get in front of that Leblanc shot; it took no time at all for the play to develop, and Scherbak is left staring skyward as the play is blown dead.

...he's crunched by Piotr Horvat! Scary moments as the training staff is brought onto the ice to check up on the youngster, and there's a sigh of relief as he's helped up and off the ice for an early intermission.
To their credit, the Knights fans in the arena show pleasant sportsmanship, applauding as he leaves the ice on his own two legs.

It's Ricky Bobby again!
Some nifty neutral zone play by Schweinsteiger and Ruschkoff has the Knights out of position, and Bobby is the beneficiary, as he collects a pass at Kelowna's blue line and rushes in on a mini-break. He slides the puck underneath Thorstrom's pad, and sends the few Militia fans into a spell of raucous cheering. The Militia lead 2-1, and the Knights have their work cut out for them now!
